The Acuson X700 delivers remarkable advantages to users from historical Acuson system and current S family products. Built around the latest imaging technologies, equipped with a rich set of standard features and designed for the ultimate in comfort and usability.
The GE Vscan Extend is a pocket-sized ultrasound with the world’s first touchscreen interface like your smartphone. Not like a previous flip phone style, Vscan with Dual Probe or Vscan, the GE Vscan Extend comes in a sector or dual probe configuration. Those two respective sector and linear probe options support similarly to the 8L-RS on the Vivid e, and the 3S-Rs probe on the Vivid e. The field-of view of the sector probe for black-and-white imaging is up to 70 degrees with maximum depth of 24cm. Color flow sector represents blood flow within an angle of up to 40 degrees. Additionally, the field-of-view of the linear probe for black-and-white imaging is aperture width of 2.9cm with maximum depth of 8 cm. Color flow linear represents blood flow over image with full aperture and entire depth.
The GE Vscan Extend provides the same clinical coverages like the previous Vscan with sector probe and Vscan with Dual Probe including cardiac, abdomen, carotids, thyroid and lungs.
The GE Vscan Extend is a smart phone type that is much familiar with current smart phone users with easy connectivity and a thumb-controllable user interface. One of most improved advantages from the previous Vscan is that the GE Vscan Extend easily integrates handheld ultrasound imaging with the hospital’s wireless network and DICOM – based on documentation and reporting.
Exams can be manually labeled with patient information. The GE Vscan Extend synchronizes on-board DICOM Modality Worklist on request (option available with DICOM configuration). Such worklist supports consistent labeling of images, videos and exams before exporting to DICOM PACS. Archived data is stored in the GE Vscan Extend memory and can be backed up on a microSD or microSDHC card with generic formats: jpg for still frames, mp4 for videos. All data is stored in examination folders that can be linked with patient information, and can be recalled for review. All saved data will be secured with FIPS 197 compliant database encryption (SQL Cipher with PBKDF2 – based key generation and AES-256 bit encryption).
The Siemens Freestyle is a wireless and focused point-of-care ultrasound machine designed for abdominal, nerve, obstetrics, gynecology, small parts, vascular, and musculoskeletal applications.
The Acuson Freestyle is the world’s first point-of-care ultrasound system with wireless transducers. The system provides outstanding flexibility and mobility while scanning within a wireless range of up to 10 feet (three meters) from the system.
Considering the target market and more procedure-related applications, the Siemens ACUSON Freestyle supports one convex and 2 linear transducers. The maximum frequency for linear is 13 MHz, but lacks any advanced transducer options. Additionally, the ability to operate the system from the transducer with integrated system controls introduces a more efficient level of workflow and enables the creation of a different user interface in hospital or clinical environments.
The Siemens proprietary, Pixelformer image-processing architecture, may help customers have a more uniform gray-scale image format. Also, in order to provide better procedure experiences, the Siemens ACUSON Freestyle offers enhanced needle visualization that allows for better-advanced needle visualization for simpler clinical procedures. To improve user convenience, the needle visualization enhancement setting can be stored with user-defined Exam Types for each customization.
GE VSCAN is smallest portable ultrasound machine. It’s only the size of a mobile ultrasound! This innovative pocket-sized ultrasound is the first to house two transducers in one probe – enabling a non-invasive look inside the body, with both shallow and deep views.
The SonoScape E2 is categorized as an economy portable Color Doppler ultrasound system that is designed for abdominal, cardiac, gynecology, musculoskeletal, obstetrical, pediatric, small parts, cephalic, urology, veterinary, and vascular exams. More advanced hardware and software platforms has been developed from the older generation model, the SonoScape S2. The SonoScape E2 integrated a number of advanced imaging technologies such as the full digital broad band width beam former, wide band dynamic range and multi-beam parallel processing. The SonoScape E2 is a fully equipped ultrasound from very basic clinical screenings to in-depth and full exam profiles with high-end options such as Auto IMT, Spatial Compounding, Auto Image Optimization, Stand-by Mode, Enhanced Needle Visualization, Panoramic imaging with 2 standard probe ports, and 15.6″ LED monitor. Unlike the SonoScape E1, the Sonoscape E2 meets higher customer requirements in modes such as continuous Doppler, Tissue Doppler, Simultaneous, and Bi-directional Doppler modes. The Sonoscape E2 shares the same system architecture with the Sonoscape E1, however the SonoScape E2 incorporates more options that enable to better cover clinical applications and workflow.
The Sonoscape S2 is a low-cost color Doppler system with a 15″LCD monitor with a long list of advanced features such as spacial compounding, speckle reduction, 3/4D function, and panoramic imaging. Unlike other compact systems, the system supports two active probe ports on the system. It looks like Medison R3, but it has a huge advantage thanks to the internal battery.
The SonoScape S8 is fully shared service with accepable image quality in a midrange portable ultrasound system. Unlike other portable midrange system, S8 support real time 4D, pediatric TEE, two active probe ports with battery operation.
The SonoSite Titan is the earliest version of the PoC dedicated portable ultrasound machine from Sonosite. Though its form factor is compact, it provides high resolution imaging, rapid responsive time, and supports a broad range of applications including cardiac. The Titan was replaced by the Micromaxx. The Titan replaced the handheld Sonosite 180.
The Supersonic Aixplorer is the premier Elastography system available in Ultrasound today. Though it was not the first brand to offer Elastography, the major brands are trying to catch up with it’s proprietary ShearWave technology. This technology delivers impeccable image quality and enables ultrafast imaging and Doppler. Though the Aixplorer is a very specialized machine, it can do other general imaging, but is not as flexible as a Philips iU22, or Logiq E9 which also try to compete in this segment.
